Frequently Asked Questions

How are you able to meet the needs of learners with Individualized Education Plans (IEP’s)?

IEP law allows for two weeks to trial changes in an IEP. Since Tipwik is a new setting with differing procedures and increased one-on-one time, we expect that some accomodations may shift. As part of starting at Tipwik, a meeting would be set to ammend the IEP, as needed and agreed upon by the team, and to ensure that Tipwik is meeting the needs of the learner.

Do you offer case management for special education?

Usually sending districts choose to retain case management. If this is not an option, we can provide case management for an additional cost.

What about other services provided by the school such as occupational therapy, social work, counseling, etc.?

Our costs are lower than surrounding providers. We’re happy to provide transportation to and from these services as needed to ensure the student continues to have their needs met.

What about learners receiving free/reduced lunch?

We’re happy to provide a time-appropriate meals and/or snacks during in person time.
