We believe...
From roots to fruits...

All people can learn and grow.
People require their social-emotional needs to be met before they can continue to grow.
In order to enjoy learning, people need the opportunity to pursue knowledge and growth in an environment free from judgement, with helpful feedback.
Kindness and empathy are skills that should be modeled, taught, and improved.
Learning should be catered to an individual's specific needs, interests and current level of understanding.
Clear and specific learning goals are important.
Development of positive behaviorial habits and dispositions such as self-control, pro-social skills and emotional regulation, require clear descriptive feedback given with empathy and kindness.
Growth in critical thinking skills, behaviors/dispositions and content knowledge are all able to be taught and all contribute to future achievement. Meaningful feedback on each is important.
It’s normal to take multiple tries when working toward a goal. Obstacles overcome should be celebrated along the way to success.
We are responsible for finding strategies and coping skills to work through our struggles rather than using our struggles as a reason to give-up.
